If you have any questions about annexation and how it might benefit you,
please contact the District Staff at (206) 546-2494 or email us at mderrick@ronaldwastewater.orgQ: Who is benefited by annexation?
A: There are approximately 19,200 residents, 10 schools, and 300
businesses that will be directly benefited by this annexation by the District.
Those ratepayers currently receive services from Ronald Wastewater District but don't qualify to vote in District elections because they are in an unincorporated area of the District (see annexation maps at right).Q: What is this annexation all about?
A: If the annexation is approved by voters, then all ratepayers within the annexation boundary will then have a voice in important District affairs such
as: voting for the Board of Commissioners, running for Commissioner themselves, and the right to be heard on Capital Improvements and District fiscal policy. Currently these ratepayers have no voice although they pay the same rates as others already in the District.Q: When will this annexation take place?
A: The scheduled election will take place on August 19, 2008. Please
visit the King County Election Web site for more information regarding
voter registration, polling places, absentee ballots, etc. http://www.metrokc.gov/electionsQ: Where is the annexation area?
A: The area encompasses approximately 2,660 acres or 4.2 square miles, and 6 neighborhoods. The annexation area is bordered roughly by NE 195th St., Aurora Ave N, NE 145th St., and 30th Ave NE. For a more detailed map
