NORTH CITY PROJECT INFORMATION
NEW! District awards North City 1 Capital Improvement Project to Budget Sewer.
North City 1 Capital Improvement Project (CIP)
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation being done in the area of NE 172nd St from 15th Ave NE to 1833 172nd and NE 170th St from 18th Ave NE to 1863 NE 170th St.
North City CIP 1
- When: Design began in 2010, construction expected to be complete in 2011
- Why: Maintenance problems and faults identified in video inspection.
- Result: Less maintenance in these areas, increased system life.
- Funding: Repair and Replacement Fund.

- When: Design began in 2010, construction expected to be complete in 2011/2012
- Why: Maintenance problems and faults identified in video inspection.
- Result: Less maintenance in these areas, increased system life.
- Funding: Repair and Replacement Fund.
15th Avenue NE Rehabilitation
- When: Design began in 2003, construction completed in 2005
- Why: The project was needed to provide sufficient capacity to allow for planned development to occur within the District boundaries and eliminate maintenance problem areas.
- Result: Larger sewer pipe will allow for future development to occur.
- Funding: Connection Charge Revenue, Repair and Replacement Fund.
Lift Station 14/15 Upgrade
- When: Design began in 2005 and construction was completed in 2010
- Why: Upgrade both stations including mechanical, electrical and structural upgrades. A standby generator was added to Lift Station 15.
- Result: Less maintenance for District staff, safer for employees.
- Funding: PWTF - 0.5% interest rate, Repair and Replacement Fund
NE 185th Street
- When: Predesign is expected to occur in the future when growth is starting to increase in this area.
- Why: The project will be needed to provide sufficient capacity to allow for planned development to occur within the District boundaries.
- Result: Larger sewer pipe will allow for future development to occur.
- Funding: Connection Charge Revenue, Repair and Replacement Fund.
16th Avenue NE/Perkins Way
- When: Predesign is expected to occur in the future when growth is starting to increase in this area.
- Why: The project will be needed to provide sufficient capacity to allow for planned development to occur within the District boundaries.
- Result: Larger sewer pipe will allow for future development to occur.
- Funding: Connection Charge Revenue, Repair and Replacement Fund.
Lago Place
- When: Predesign is expected to occur in the future when growth is starting to increase in this area.
